For $129 a year, Oko sends the opt-out requests for you and keeps checking for listings that come back. A few sites only take requests by phone or with ID. Your report lists those, with the steps. Each site decides whether to take your listing down.
The plan is for individual accounts, one plan per account.
What’s included
- A full report to start
- Opt-out requests sent for you
- A recheck whenever one is due
- Ongoing checks for listings that come back
- Renews yearly. Cancel anytime.
The plan pays for its report and rechecks. Your credits aren’t used, and any you already have stay in your balance.
What Oko sends
For each listing, Oko sends the site’s opt-out or deletion request in your name. It sends only:
- the link to the listing
- your name and your city and state, as the listing shows them
- your removal address
It sends nothing else about you. See the plan’s section of the privacy policy.
The sites you do yourself
A few sites only take requests by phone, with a copy of your ID, after a check only a person can pass, or with details the listing doesn’t show. Your report lists them with the steps for each. See How to opt out of a people-search site.
Your removal address
Your plan has its own Oko email address for removal requests, so the sites get that address instead of your own. Their replies and confirmations go there.
Pausing requests
Requests go out only for listings about you. To pause them, go to Account and choose Withdraw authorization. No new requests are sent until you agree again. The plan keeps renewing, so turn off renewal too if you want to stop paying.
Renewal and cancelling
- The plan renews each year. We email you 30 days before it renews, with the date and the price.
- To cancel, go to Billing and choose Turn off renewal. The plan runs to the end of the year you paid for, then ends. Changed your mind? Choose Keep renewing before then.
- You can get a full refund within 30 days of your first payment. Email support@okoint.com from the address you sign in with.
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries your card again for a while. If it still fails, the plan ends.
See the plan’s section of the terms.
When the plan ends
- Requests already sent are followed through.
- Your removal address keeps receiving mail from the sites for 60 days.
- Your reports stay in your account. See How long we keep it.
- No new requests are sent. You can still buy credits for reports.
