Services / #8 Trace

Legal & litigation support

Open-source evidence, collected and documented the way counsel needs it.

Benefits

01

Documented evidence

Every capture is time-stamped, sourced and logged so counsel can rely on it.

02

Connected entities

We identify links between companies, people, domains and storefronts that appear unrelated.

03

Preservation

Posts and pages get deleted. We capture them properly while they are still online.

04

Clear reporting

Reports written so a judge, client or opposing counsel can follow them without technical background.

What We Do

  • Asset tracing
  • Preserving public statements
  • Tracing counterfeit sellers

How It Runs

  1. Step 1

    Brief

Counsel tells us what needs to be found or preserved, and why.

  2. Step 2

    Collect

Open-source research with full capture and chain-of-custody notes.

  3. Step 3

    Connect

We map the relationships between the entities involved.

  4. Step 4

    Report

A written report with exhibits, and support if questions come up later.

Tracing a counterfeit seller network

A brand kept finding counterfeit versions of its products on marketplaces. Each takedown led to a new storefront. Counsel needed to show the storefronts were connected.

The situation

The brand had been filing marketplace takedowns one listing at a time. New storefronts kept appearing with the same photos and prices. Outside counsel wanted to take broader action but needed evidence that the stores were run by the same people.

What we did

Counsel briefed us on what they needed to show. We captured each storefront and listing with time stamps and logged sources, then looked for connections between them: shared images, contact details, domains, shipping origins and payment pages.

What we found

19 storefronts across three marketplaces shared a small set of contact emails, one shipping return address and a common payment page. Several used product photos with the same hidden file details. Together they pointed to one operator.

What changed

Counsel used our report and exhibits to file a single, broader complaint instead of chasing listings one at a time. The marketplaces removed all 19 storefronts together.
